Roof Cleaning & Moss Removal
A moss-covered roof is more than just an aesthetic issue. Thick moss acts like a sponge, holding rainwater against your tiles. During colder months, this trapped water freezes and expands, leading to cracked tiles, blocked gutters, and expensive structural damp issues and internal leaks.
We always take a highly professional, safety-first approach to roof restoration. Using a scaffold tower or cherry picker in order to allow us easy access to your roof without the need for ladders. Then, depending on the tiles and the overla condition of the roof, we either use a low-pressure rotary cleaner or alternatively, if needed, we scrape away moss and other organic matter, using specialist profile blades that match the exact shape of your roof tiles. Then, after these processes, we always chemically treat the entire roof, which then penetrates deep into the porous tile surface and kills off any remaining invisible spores, helping to prevent regrowth.

Why it matters: Keeping the roof over you and your family's head in top condition is vital in order to Protect your home from internal leaks and premature tile replacements.

Our process: pole-fed low-pressure rotary cleaning or manual moss scrape removal, depending on the roof nd its condition, both followed by a specialised chemical treatment.
FAQS
Do you use high-pressure jet washers on the roof?
Absolutely not. High-pressure can strip the protective coating off your tiles, break bonds, and force water into your loft space. Instead we only ever use low-pressure rotary cleaning or a manual scrape method using profile blades shaped exactly to fit your tiles, followed by a softwash chemical treatment.
How long does it take for the roof treatment to work?
The low-pressure rotary cleaning method gives an instant visual transformation, with the manual moss removal method not looking as impactful initially, as some marks and staining will still be visable, but because of the chemical treatment we apply after, the roof will continue to brighten and look better over the next few weeks, brining the tiles back to their former glory.
Do I need to be home while you clean my roof?
No, you do not need to be at home as long as we have clear access around the perimeter of your property and an outdoor water supply we are good to go. rest assured we always secure any gates and tidy up completely before we leave to.
